Dinner last night. Salmon over black rice with avocado and shallot vinaigrette.

That salmon looks perfectly blackened, leaving a nice rare centre. Can't say that I enjoy avocado warm, but the rice dish looks beautiful and I'd be interested in trying it.

Nice plate. I need to move on from my uniform white Denby to move fitting plates to dishes.

To each his own, but I'll never deviate from white plates. That stoneware does look very nice, but I knowbi wouldn't want it for myself.

Food is art. Not everything fits on a round white bone China plate.

Where have your pics been of late anyway?!

The avocado was actually added to the rice after the rice was left to cool a bit, so it didn't warm up much.

I tend to prefer square or rectangular plates, but this is a good set. Absurdly expensive, though. From Crate and Barrel, don't know if you have that over in the UK.

Quoting myself, but we also have these square plates with the green splashes. I like them too.

White is the traditional way, but other colored, textured, and non- circular plates make for a nice visual appearance as well, IMHO.

As I said: to each his own. You missed a few shots in the previous page and I have more coming up shortly. Fret not.
