Homemade cheese, mushroom, onion and garlic sauce (touch of Worcester, mustard and scotch; I stopped short at adding bacon as it's becoming a little ubiquitious).

Sweet potato chips in the oven.

That stupid memories page on Facebook has been taunting me with pictures from a couple of trips to Jamaica. So we made jerk chicken along with pigeon pea and cho cho curry. I took a picture, but seem to have misplaced the SD card it was on. I should have served it on styrofoam plates. It looked exactly like Jamaican street food. If I had a Dragon Stout I'd have thought it came from Cosmo's.

Hadn't hit up the food thread in a while, so I'll do a couple posts to cover a few things I've tried recently.

I want to start this thread with the joys of a sharp knife...

Those were for a stir fry chicken and veggie dish I was trying out. Started with the chicken.

Then it was time to add the veggies.

    The final product.

It turned out alright, expect as we were eating it something seemed off and I realized I forgot to add any salt. Tossed some into what we had and it helped it out.

I think I see kale, green tomatoes, cilantro, green peppers, garlic, onions and a spice - chilli powder maybe. I'm thinking a soup.

Whoops! Forgot to come back and update. They are tomatillos, not green tomatoes, but you are otherwise mostly correct Geoff. The spice is mainly cumin with some salt. It ended up being and easy but delicious salsa Verde. And yes, I put kale in mine.
