I should take more pictures. The weather was less than ideal so I broiled two NY strip steaks in the gas oven. It is real cool in that it comes with a heavy cast iron grid. You put it under the broil part of the gas iven to heat it up and then cook the steak on it. That way, it gets the grill marks.

Not as good as when done on the gas grill, but my gas oven is wonderful for bad weather days!

I have several different models. The good ones minimize the amount of grounds in the final product. You will always get some "chew" in there, but that is part of the fun. I use a regular drip coffee maker on the weekdays when I have no time and the press on the weekends when I have time to enjoy a good cup of coffee.

Do you use coarse ground beans? I didn't have much problem with grounds getting into the coffee.

Granted, I've only done this once.

me 2 but rarely get to eat Lobster the wife hates seafood so I'm out of town and took advantage of that + the owner is buying

Day 2 on the French press. Much better today. I put way too much coffee and not enough water last time. Also, I had to use sugar to sweeten, and I prefer Splenda. Delicious.

Coffee in the morning is excellent. I usually buy it, so I don't get to have it first thing.

I don't like takeaway coffee. Home coffee is so easy, cheap and a pleasure to make.

The wife is out so I'm doing some experimental cooking. It rarely ends well but we'll see.

Didn't end well. I wasn't following a recipe, which was foolhardy. Should've par-cooked the potatoes first so the eggs didn't go over, and had a cage and enough oil to submerge them (I didn't) so I wouldn't have had to disturb them and have the potato come off. Still takes good though. Winged the side salad as you can see...
