Due to work and holidays I haven't been to the gym for 6-7 weeks and am really now feeling it. Hitting the gym tomorrow with a vengeance, need to pick up the pace in a big way for the next month or so.

Apparently he was an Olympic bobsledder. And a pretty formidable track and field athlete. Should be good. And the class sounds perfect for what I want.

Well, I managed a couple of quick sessions in the gym this week as well as a few walks so I'm feeling slightly better about myself now than I was a week ago. Some friends had Fitbits for Christmas so there's a bit of friendly competition going on as well.

This was supposed to be a pretty hard core work out weekend. My training friday evening, followed by 6 hours of snow shoeing on Saturday.

Instead, the rest of the Friday training group bailed - so the instructor (the massive, intimidating bobsledder, above) cancelled. Got my money back. But was definitely bummed because the sessions sounded awesome.

And snowshoeing on Friday was cancelled because the tempteratures dipped below -20, and that was the bail out point for the group. Not as upset by that. When temperatures get that low, you go from being potentially uncomfortable to potentially at risk.

Still managed to get a good weight and cario session in at the gym. a 7 k run, and 3 hours of curling (which is more physically demanding than it looks).

Started super and quad setting my weight workouts. Much more intense, but less time consuming, so unless I blow out a pec or something else, it has been a great program so far.
