Haven't fancied a digital in a while but wow!
I get tons of use out of my first generation Suunto Ambit. Just browsing their site and seen the new Essential line. Copper, Slate are especially nice. Just wanted to share and see what you guys think. Best looking digitals I seen in a while.

Very porthole-like. Perhaps a bit big at 49mm but like the look of them

I think the lugs actually sway on these to fit the wrist snug and move comfortably. Next time I'm by the AD I'll try to get some pics. These are pricey but like most of Suunto's line they usually come down with better discounts once they been out for a while. So I'm going to wait and see.

I have worn the Core Alu white (on a black rubber) for work for 3 years now. Love this watch, for work. I'd like to feel the stainless version.

Yes they do. They float, or rotate freely. Some Suunto straps mount directly to the case and do not use the free moving lugs.

I think my AD finally got a copper in, hoping to check it out soon and take some real world pics

I reckon that copper one will be hard to resist once it is on your wrist.
