    I am sort of infatuated with Casio's basic squares right now: the F-91 and the F-105. Extremely good contrast, and very loud alarms, much louder than any G I have ever owned, including the G-3011. They don't have a countdown timer though, but the W-71 is just as loud, and it does have one. Wish Casio would bring that one back, or better yet, G-Shockify that module.
