Likewise. Makes English food seem comparatively rather bland.

Those who have never eaten hot chilis have a hard time understanding this. I used to eat them a few years ago, would grow my own, and I completely agree that there is a euphoric feeling associated with eating a stupid hot pepper. After the initial shock and heat wears off and you're just left with a slightly numbing pain, there is a feeling almost like a runners high. Who knows how it works, but I can attest to the fact that it does.

I'm glad you mentioned that about chilies...I never heard someone else say it. Eating hot peppers creates a warm feeling of serenity that sticks around for a good amount of time. The hotter the pepper the better result - habaneros are like a mini sweat lodge you can buy at the store. The effect is like how Vicodin washes over you 15 minutes after you take it.

I endorse the peppers but not necessarily the drug. I only know what I know from getting teeth pulled.

Edit: The above makes two people.

Yeah this one was particularly nice - it makes your scalp itchy and makes you sweat buckets but doesn't hurt your throat at all. Epic stuff. I've harvested some seeds in an attempt to grow some.

I just used a whole Aji Lemon chilli on a cheese sandwich. I tasted a little slice beforehand and it was surprisingly hot, but when combined with home grown beef tomatoes and cucumber it was lovely.
