I have had luck taking peppers indoors before, especially cayennes. I brought the four foot tall jalapeno and the Hungarian in last weekend. Even if the jalapeno only lasts long enough for a bunch of the fifty or so immature peppers to fill out, that is a win for me.

Our first attempt at fried chicken turned out to be massive success. Best fried chicken I've ever had. Mostly courtesy of @bu11itt and his sauces from down south! Thanks bro.

Did fried chicken a few weeks back. Was good but this looks a lot better. Our issue is you can't buy buttermilk here anymore. Nobody carries it.

Wha...? That's terrible. Buttermilk is a go to fat in bread making for me.

Was too little demand for it so last producer stopped. Restaurant kitchens can get it. Same with Asian rice wine for cooking. Nowhere to be found. Regular stores that had earlier aren't allowed due to alcohol content and gov. regulated stores dont carry citing lack of demand.

I have a few recipes I would have to completely abandon without rice wine. You can try to substitute with pale dry sherry, and you might condition it with a bit of sugar. If so, I would recommend making a simple gomme and using that to condition, rather than dissolving sugar into the sherry.
It is now my duty to completely drain you.

That looks d*mn tasty. Mrs. B was impressed you used the less mainstream choices, the Ball's seasoning and Louisiana hot sauce, as was I. Those would have been my choice as well. I should have sent you some Zataran's shrimp fry as that is what my dad always used to fry chicken, and his was the best fried chicken I've ever had.

Ball's seasoning, the greatest invention since sliced bread......

I use it on almost everything that goes on the grill.
