Some of the guys I work with have serious car habits; a typical collection is along the lines of a 458 for fun, a Vantage for touring, 911 Turbo S for something "sensible", a superlight M3 for shopping and a Cayenne Turbo for work as we don't allow super cars in the staff car park..

They enjoy doing the Gumball Rally / Cannonball Run and things like that...

As mad as a bucket of frogs. I currently do 3-4k miles per month in this and love most of them. People stop me to talk about it quite a lot. My substitute since I stopped riding bikes. Love it.

My wife's car. It seems we NEED a supercharged 'Benz for school runs, dog ferrying and trips to Waitrose.

My wife's toy, with my daughter trying to nick it..

How ow has the Abarth been?

It's been good. It's great fun. It rides very hard, but goes where you point it. You can steer with the throttle, and the front end grip is amazing. It's loud, and you get the odd pop and bang from the exhausts. It's a bit silly, but a real laugh. It's the total opposite to the CLK we have, in every way.

I've been hearing about gearbox and engine issues. None so far?

Pretty sure the U.S. Abarth has the same 1.4liter turbo as the SS package Abarth in Europe.
