Excellent review and pics, thank you. Really love the profile of the watch as seen in your 2nd pic, the complex case design and detailing is very appealing.

Thanks a lot! There was quite a lot of gunk in the fluted caseband actually. I had to spend quite a while with an old soft toothbrush and some soapy water to get it out!
I think I shall have to give the watch a wash and a scrub of the caseband every month or so to keep from grime building up. Probably better to do it more regularly than wait for it to become noticeable after its all built up and hardened.
