It's all a matter of what you choose to believe, and I just don't believe that LVG suddenly found out about Pedro's pace (or lack thereof) after 33 days of pursuing that player.

Nor do I, but it might have affected how much he thought he was worth. Pedro has looked nimble enough, I have to say.

He's certainly looked stellar compared to the ineffective players around him.

A little fortune in his play, but that shouldn't take away from his quality. Any team in the Prem should be overjoyed to have him, with the possible exception of City, who have Sterling and De Bruyne in similar positions.

Yes, but Man U. were hardly competing against Chelsea for his signature. It really underlines the broader point about them being restricted to players that Chelsea (along with City) don't want.

It would be a brave soul who tried to second guess a man as petulant and arrogant as Van Gaal. I can easily imagine him suddenly throwing his coco across his bedroom and shouting "PEDRO IS TOO SLOW!!! TELL THEM TO **** OFF!!"

Internationals are always a time fraught with worry for me as well. Liverpool players tend to get hurt on internationals. I mean, Benteke took a thigh knock.

Too right. I can't get behind England any more. I can't bring myself to support a team representing a joke of an FA, followed by embarrassing, mouth-breathing EDL-types, playing in competitions organised by crooks.
