I knew I could rely on you folks to keep me entertained, and also lively up this corner of IWL. I am remiss in updating my watchaday week. So here's yesterday and today, Cal 69.1 Deco and Stowa Antea 390

Too many watches, not enough wrists.

Day six of the German rotation, late '70s GuB Spezimatic Bison, originally purchased for a spare movement but kept intact for the sheer pleasure of the funkiness.

As much as I love my Nomos with the Alpha movement, there is something about their automatic movements that makes me want another Nomos.

I was completely seduced by the finishing. I must admit though, that I would choose a no-date next time. Although I have many vintage watches with non-quickset dates, it seems a modern movement could manage a middle crown position. That said, it is among the thinnest auto-date movements made right now, and the date is actually on the same plane as the movement, in an outer ring. So, I'll take it as is!
