Things that would be awesome but will sadly probably never happen
1. Patek Philippe licence Indiglo technology from Timex and add it to all their watches

Eco-Drive solar charging on a Precisionist hi-frequency quartz, with the high accuracy of the first series Precisionists, and with normal sized less funky designs.
Too many watches, not enough wrists.

The practical stuff:
1) More chronographs used thinner movements (like Ebel's 137). I'd still have my Chronoris if it wasn't quite as tall.
2) All but the most expensive dress watches had drilled lugs - Thanks for being sensible Grand Seiko.
3) Every bracelet had something like Rolex's Easylink extension...I could see this happening one day.
4) Field watches used acrylic crystals.

me and a bunch of luxury watches.. dozens of Rolex and Grand seiko...
that-would-be-awesome -but-will-sadly-probably-never-happen
oh, you mean in the watch industry?
- then a luxury automatic that would never need costly maintenance...
- or... mechanical/automatic Diver G-Shock..
- affordable ($300-500) Rolex...
- inexpensive seiko spring-drive.

1. Country of origin determined by 75% parts value.
2. Watch parts available to independent and accredited watch repairers.
3. A watch repairer in every town with a population of more than 5,000.

A 43mm automatic chronograph with 100m WR or better, screw down crown and pushers, good lume, dive bezel, around $600.
