I eat pork rare, but haven't tried it raw. I'd give it a try.

Not tried it, but in Japan they also have Chicken Sashimi, also unheard of here with all the Salmonella scares we have.

The chicken borne food poisoning that starts Camp which neither I nor my phone can spell is so violent that pregnant women miscarry. The stats for Camp oh Le Back ter infection in UK poultry should dissuade anyone from even dreaming of eating chicken anything less than thoroughly cooked. A friend of mine had it (she worked in KFC) and she was in a very very bad way. Got treated quickly enough that she didn't lose her child though.

I had Shigella earlier this year - a whole week on the toilet, most likely contaminated food after it was cooked.

Part of me is too 80's to consider raw /rare pork but my friend the chef assures me that the reason we used to over cook pork in the past, trichinosis, has been eradicated from the food chain at least in USA/UK most first world farms

Also, my wife is one of those cilantro weird-o's. I haven't cooked with it in years.
I read that raw pork is exclusive to German cuisine. I do like beef tartare a lot, which can be had in the US restaurants.

    Now I'm drooling...

Eating raw pork is like playing Russian roulette with five shells in the chamber.......
