Slight case of buyer's remorse
I saw this watch on Ashford's site and loved it. I got it in my hands and loved it. I wore it for a few days and loved it.
BUT...
I've discovered it gets scratched if you look at it the wrong way. I knew the flat brushed bezel would be a scratch magnet but the slightest contact with anything tougher than air will leave a mark. The bezel now has a couple handfuls of fine scratches. Have not had this experience with other flat bezels. Wonder if JR uses a softer SS...
Anyway, have made up my mind to ignore the scratches as best as I can but it's not been totally successful.
Still love it though.

Such a beautiful piece but so sorry it's a scratch magnet. That would drive me bonkers. I'm SO careful with my watches that the slightest nick drives me nuts.
Just think of it as "thelovedpatek" having a little brother.

It is a great looking piece especially with the blue dial, but I was wondering if that finished surface would show any imperfections, so you answered my question.
Time to become one with the bench lathe I guess........

I used it on my Explorer 2 bracelet. As long as you go with the brush and light you will be fine. Takes a little patience and skill, some may not be comfortable doing so but if your a good handy man you should be fine

Scotchbrite pads , red. I put the brush marks back on the buckle of my planet ocean every week or so. 30 seconds and it looks new. I don't think it would scratch the crystal, if so maybe masking tape.
