I had a big food let down this weekend...my family I and I went with my parents to their mountain house and my Mom asked if I would cook ribs if she bought them. When I got there she had bought already cooked ribs thinking I wouldn't want to spend the time cooking. They were not very good at all and certainly didn't satisfy my rib cravings.

I'm not a man bothered by eating the same thing two nights in a row (or four for that matter)

Early on I let the pan start to boil a bit too fast, so the yokes weren't quite as veiled as yesterday. Still ruddy delicious. I managed to scoff them slightly slower than yesterday....slightly.

Oh I have the same breakfast and lunch (mostly) every day. But I have very varied and delicious dinners.

When I was about to go onto crutches for a while I cooked a huge vat of my favourite concoction and ate it 20 times in a month. Given half a chance I just cook it over and over and over.....

This thread does a good job of reminding me that there are other dishes in the world

Cool, I've learned something today! Another new bit of British slang. Well sort of.... I've learned the word, now off to look it up!

Even a broken watch shows correct time once or twice a day. I ought to know, I have a few!

Carving up a kabocha melon just picked from our garden. Cutting in cubes, tossing in olive oil, salt and spices (cumin, coriander, paprika), roasting for about 40 minutes in the oven. Result is like candy.

Too many watches, not enough wrists.
