I could've mushed em up a bit but I wouldn't've (is that a word?) added cream, vinegar, etc. I like seasoning where appropriate (meat, for example) but I like things to taste how their supposed to, so don't add too much to eggs, peas etc. Chip shop mushy peas taste vile, to me.

You Brits have a strange way of handling your food...Putting your fish in fat dough, mushing peas, adding vinegar?
I think I like the food you usually show better

Don't associate me (and other brits) with what Geoffbot's being force-fed by his wife (who's fattening him up for christmas )

Sorry, you're right. I wouldn't like to be associated with some of the typical Dutch dishes myself...

In a previous existence (when single) I used to cook tinned mushy peas and tinned haggis in the same pan. Taking care to not mix them, then add vinegar and eat from the pan. Ummmm good times

Only when accompanied by a couple pints of Directors Bitter.

I love a good fish and chips. One of my favorite meals when done correctly. With a little malt vinegar and such. That looks pretty good. The peas are usually absent though.
