    Subscribed to Jamie Oliver's site/Facebook page and I'm gonna try to make some pastry this year.

    Thanks boatme99, I swear, I've never seen sausages in the can, guess 'cause i've never gone to that section in a supermarket.

    Nah, don't think it's gonna happen any time soon: just had a food poisoning 2 days ago and couple last month, I think because our housemate (who used to cook on the ship) used old fat, that he collects and freezes.

    I'm a big fan of the Spanish Tapas style that you describe; that is, fresh and marinated in vinegar to "cook" before being drained and dressed for service.
    The Venicians have a (cicchetti) version that is fresh fish as per the Tapas, marinated in lemon and onion.

    In my experience, most people only know the salted brown things.

    Nice Rockwell homage. That new "Colonel" on the TV ads doesn't sit well with me though... (Wasn't he from the former cast of SNL? I could swear I recognize him).
