    Made a couple more Cubano sandwiches for lunch this week, and a pear/cranberry/almond tart.

    No pics, I've already posted sandwich photos, and the tart looks like the peach raspberry tart I posted before, except with....rimshot...pears and cranberries!

    I had boquerones last night--anchovies--at a tapas place. I'd never had anchovies before. they were served with a salsa verde and bread to put the anchovies on top of.

    It turned out to be my favorite dish of the night. Even better than the still-on-fire chorizo and the lobster paella.

    I don't really like Bobby Flay all that much but he once said something that I have quoted many times.

    "Anchovies. Your friends like them, they just don't know it." Often I find this to be true.
