A nice looking quartz moon phase.

This may be of interest to some. I recently discovered that Graf Zeppelin’s new Hindenburg line has a moon phase model. The look is quite traditional:

It has a domed hesalite crystal:

I like the aesthetics of a traditionally designed moon phase but have resisted buying a mechanical because they are time consuming to set and not really practical for me in my collection. OTOH decent quartz ones are very scarce, so this is an option that might be worth considering.

The case size is 40mm. For those with smaller than average wrists there is also an almost identical looking 36mm ‘ladies’ model. Price is 249 Euro including VAT which doesn’t apply to non EU customers.

Nice looking indeed, and the finishing doesn't look bad in those photos. I can see why you're tempted.

I've always struggled a bit with the Zeppelin logo, but that's a personal aesthetic thing.

I often feel that Zeppelins designs follow on from that slightly confused logo, including more detail than I would like. In this instance, instead of designing the watch to bring clarity to the large amount of information being presented, they've built on it: ornate hands, florid numerals, subdivided seconds.

I know what you mean, but in this case I think they've done quite a nice job of balancing it against the moon phase indicator. I like that a lot I have to say, especially in 36mm.
Is the pointer hand a week of the year indicator? I don't think I've seen that before.

I actually like all of those things. I do think that I'd prefer it without all of that text underneath the moon phase indicator.

Yep. Don't think I've seen it before either. The more usual format is day and month subdials and pointer date.
