Just sorted my loose tea sourcing problem :-)
It's got harder and harder to find actual loose tea without going to a specialist (silly prices) tea merchant
Imagine my pleasure when I noticed 500g packets of the stuff in my local Turkish supermarket (also great for nuts and dried fruit)
A quick bit of googling to decipher Turkish tea qualities and hurrah! Goodbye PG Tips!

Apparently the Turks are the world's largest tea consumers, getting through 2.5kg each annually. We Brits come next at 2.1kg per person
And yes, McD's tea is vile

It's the final countdown! PM me before they're all gone!
Have a friend who's really into craft beer. Been getting me to try some new things. Before would never even think about a beer flavoured with passionsfruit, orange and peach. Surprisingly good. Smells more of fruit than it tastes
Yes, I could have bought tea online, but I like supporting local businesses. Another benefit of Turkish tea, I've realised, is that it hasn't travelled from as far away as Assam or Darjeeling
I'm with your mate on craft beer - such a pleasure :-)

I need to experiment with steeping time (made it too weak), but yes
I made it with a tea ball in a cup though, rather than the traditional double decker Turkish çaydanlık
