I will happily call those fries. Chips are chunkier. And the snack above is crisps! I just had chateaubriande with fries

Looks great Geoff, regardless of whether or not they are chips or fries!

A small pork roast marinated in Cuban flavored marinade, green beans amadine, roasted New potatoes with shallots and lemons.

I was going to fix plantains, but I forgot to buy them when at the grocers.

I wanted the pork so that I can make Cubanos for lunch this week.

That looks awesome. I just threw together a caprese because I wasn't really hungry.

I'll have one for lunch this week, also.
My neighbors basil is really taking off and the local tomatoes are starting to come in.

A great lunch or dinner on a hot day. Enjoy.

I really need to try grow me some tomatoes next year. After spending the majority of my life not eating them I've recently come to really enjoy them, especially fresh from the garden. Nothing better.

Thanks! It started out as vase, but I encountered a small problem while throwing on the wheel.

I think it was a lack of talent.

    Dinner tonight:

Zucchini-ricotta ravioli with squash blossoms, fresh basil, and aged balsamic.

Smoked Happy Valley beef with butter-braised carrots, Swiss chard, salsa verde, and kohlrabi.

Blueberry creme fraiche ice cream with a lemon poppyseed shortbread cookie.

This was at a Philadelphia restaurant called Russet. Very small menu, all local (they have the farms where everything comes from on the menu). One of the best meals I've ever had. Right up there with Talula's Garden.

This was for a makeshift Father's Day dinner with my brother. About 6 years ago, my dad refused to go to Father's Day dinner with us because my mother didn't want to go. My brother and I went anyway, and we've been going to dinner together on Father's Day ever since.
