Home grown asparagus for dinner. Fried in butter with a splash of balsamic vinegar towards the end of cooking. My wee will be fragrant in the morning

Asparagus spears should be used to fashion a primitive clock

I have 6 productive asparagus plants in the garden which give me enough for my family and a couple of neighbours. I grow strawberry around them, and in the rest of the garden I have:
Rhubarb, white currants, tayberries, figs, apples, plums, grapes, hops, and hazel as permanent residents. I then have two veggy beds for seasonal stuff. I spend my life in the garden!
My grapes gave me 2 gallons of red plonk last year, and hopefully more this year. The year before I had such a glut of plums I made wine with those also, and I had 3 gallons of the stuff.......hic
