What I did on my Spring "Vacation"
The wife finally had her hip replacement! 14 nights of sleeping in recliners getting woken up every few hours for her meds and/or vital being taken.
At least she is already walking better than she has in over a year. But why it had to take 10 years and damage our lives so greatly is something I will never understand.

They hold off on knee replacements as long as possible because they wear out. They don't want to have to do it again, or at least any more than necessary.
So glad your wife's went well.

The Dude Abides
Life is funny sometimes when it comes to what is and what was, but at least she is gaining her mobility back and that will enhance both of your lives going forward.

That's good to hear, Don.
Last I heard on the personal front you had an issue you were concerned about. Not looking for public detail, but are you doing better?

Hi Rob! Thanks for remembering, not worried about public disclosure but thank you for considering that I might.
The heart failure issues are minor and not really bad enough to qualify as "something to lose sleep over" - likely the end result of a metabolic disturbance due to long term stress. I have been cleared for bike riding (and will be soon) with minimal restrictions.(YESSS!)
Just as well, we have a rule at home - only one sick person at a time.

That's great to hear! Every bit of good news helps, and I'm happier hearing that are having the positive trends at home. Best wishes on extending the streak.
