So may let it go.
Don't worry though, i'm not leaving GS, no way, i've got a SBGR059 on the way - titanium, brushed lugs that match the bracelet, blue seconds and 38mm - perfect.
*Whew* That's OK then
At least you've picked models that will be really easy to move!

Ooh here are the new date free GS....
....no retro styling, just a typical GS without a date. Perfect!
Now, what's the size, 37mm or 40mm.....
*looks up info*
....42mm!!??!!?? Gah.

Absolute madness, to actually increase the size of their dateless models !! Such a strange decision by Seiko. 42mm would wear huge, even the 40mm models do

Seiko could release a pile of crap with the GS logo on it, and you would still swoon over it, Domo.
That said, I admire your passion for Seiko.

I've always wondered what it would be like to NOT like a Grand Seiko....Everything they touch turns to gold so I guess I'll never know
I was never a HUGE fan of the SD divers....and the SBGB chronographs aren't my favourites either....I guess the seconds hand on the 44GS SBGV quartz's is a little short? I'm running out of ideas here fast!

Gently pootling around the internet and seeing that the difference between the ticket price for an SBGR053 in Japan and the MRSP in UK is an additional 65%
Someone could get a return flight to Tokyo and pay customs charges and still be up
