Some new Junghans Max Bills.

Just noticed some new models on a watch that I just have to have. Never knew that they have also introduced some quartz models too. These are some new variants on the Chronoscope.
I like them but would probably go for the original Chronoscope.

Junghans prices aren't over the top, the "Max Bill"-serie starts at 495€ for the quartz, 595€ for the handwinder, 825€ for the automatic and 1595€ for the chronoscope. That are AD prices, i'm sure if you look arround a bit you can find them cheaper...

You misunderstand, I already have two Max Bill's , but the Chrono series just seem to be over the top for me ... tis still a pretty much unique look chrono , but I've not bitten yet.

As for the handwinders (which I have two) ..... I paid a lot less than that , both amazon warehouse deals , and to all intents and purposes brand new and markless

I may be in the minority here, but I much prefer this classic design (Bauhaus?) in its simplest form. Adding chrono buttons and functions kind of ruins it for me.

I once read someone saying that the Max Bill designs are rooted in Bauhaus, but not simply Bauhaus. Conceptually I understand that idea; how that applies to these watches....I've always been hoping to find someone who will walk me through it

I like them A LOT, but it would be hard to live without a continuous second hand. If they ditched the day/date and put the logo there they could put the continuous seconds on the left and it would be perfect.
