D'Yquem seems to hold up forever. I have no idea why, but it seems fresh no matter how old. This one was the third time I have had D'Yquem, and each time was memorable. This was the first time I have had a DRC (the Richebourg Domaine Romanee Conti) and I blanched when I researched what this bottle would sell for now. Our friend bought it at wholesale when it was released. Such elegant and complex wines, such obsessive one-upmanship collecting pushing the prices into the stratosphere.
Too many watches, not enough wrists.
