Leather NATO strap prices are ABSURD!

And now, a public service message from the Quiet Rant Society:

From as low as $6.00 to $120 (or more) per strap.

    WTF?
And to really grind my gears, just about every other schlockster on eBay wants in on the action, and is charging $40 for what is in all likelihood indistinguishable from the $6 strap. And it's even more offensive when the strap is coming from either Hong Kong or SE Asia, where you and I know it cost less than a nickel to make these.

Italians? Yeah, OK, but they're in Italia, so waddaygonnadooooo.

Over the years, I have bought from many different sellers - no, not "hand-made" for $120, and I won't be buying one anytime soon either - and there is almost no difference in terms of quality.
That is to say, they're all fine. All equally fine.

I've been pretty happy with the ones I got from Cheapestnatostraps in Spain. Most of them under $12 a pop.
They're thin, but tat is exactly the advantage in most cases: they slip in and out of lugs nicely.
    What's up with $40 ~ $50 nato straps?
