In the 1990s a lot of Slava movements were exported in China and Hong Kong and since could be found in Chinese production. Some Russian businessmen used them to make fake Slava watches, protecting themselves by changing logo for "Slava Sozvezdie" (Слава Созвездие) or CJIABA, though it still infringe trademark. Since 2006, these Slava Sozvezdie watches appear in vast quantities, they contain no Russian content but often marked "Russia" on the dial, and are built as cheaply as possible. These watches have nothing to do with the Slava company and distributed in Russia only through channels usual for fake brand watches. Distributors of such fakes declare "some Chinese companies bought rights for brand", but since Slava brand wasn't registered in China and anybody could produce it there.
While Slava watches utilize its own Russian-made movements today, and for some models, bought-in movements from Miyota are used.
Well ok where to start hmmm not buying maybe (yes that does sound harsh especial from me ) but the list of thing that are not good on it. is just to long when you could probably get a decent 80's watch for the same price or less ....
OK unbranded movement there is a number under the hairspring but can't see it clearly but ant russian movement I don't think. the movement is the better looking part of it in a basic kinda way ...
The dial has russian on the dial under the six and cjiaba under the 12 this one has a 24hr sub-dial day and date ...
The day and date buttons are not great with some watch models you can screw down the buttons to stop it changing accidental or are a hard push to set but these can be change by knocking against things or catch the back of your hand ...
The case is a weird one the lugs bar is screw on to the case ( I had to tighten both as they was loose ) then you have a Agat type screw in bars for the rubber strap ...
The back has russian writing on the show case back but it was make I would say in china so it is a russian as bird nest soup is ....
The case back is a pop back even thou they have given it a screw back look ....
Yes now you can see why my open comment and why... also the case finish is rough in places on the inside of the lugs the case has not finish properly and is rough so think once I have finish taking the pictures this is off to the bay with out me even wearing it ( that say's it all really don't it)
but least we know now what they look like and what the quality is like which was why I bought it ....
