Perlon straps seem to be having a resurgence at the moment, which I applaud as I find them to be lovely things. Smarter than a Nato and great in the heat, I also love the adjustable ones as I can make a perfect length strap for my skinny wrist.
However.... It would appear that back in the good old days they made patterned perlon (I know this because you can pay lots of money for NOS ones on eBay), so why are none of the modern manufacturers doing them? Is it cost thing or something they just haven't gotten round to yet?
