imdb did not rate it very high but as no sex violence or things getting the shit blow up what you expect ..... period drama so not for every one I guess ..... it was different then think we lost something in acting skills once the tech got so advanced you did not need good actors any more what would sir laurence olivier think now I wonder...

Prey is so good!! Fantastic take on predator. Perfect length, well acted, great effects... Great film.

This one. Hmm... All I can say as a Predator franchise non-expert is that it was probably good for a Predator film. And I liked the length, too.

The Pale Blue Eye -- a decent mystery with a twist, 2 hours not wasted, loved Melling's acting.

(Edit: would you believe I didn't recognise Gillian Anderson in it? You can crucify me now).
(Edit2: or Charlotte Gainsbourg, or Robert Duvalle, well done for them).

Edit3: Rewatched The Shawshank Redemption, too. Same as 30 years ago, excellent.

I capitulated it the season and watched and wrote about a Christmas movie. I recommend this one for your holiday viewing, it’s totally family friendly and really quite nice.
