Location also hurts us. Alexis went to Arsenal for London. Sofiane Feghouli went to West Ham! Baffling. But they're in London. I think Eriksen was a similar situation with Tottenham.

Don't forget the premier league surcharge. Always more expensive to buy from another pl team.

Compare the £25m Arsenal paid for Xhaka. I don't see him as a that much better player at their respective position. And he hasn't proved he can cope with PL-football which Mane has

That's fair. And we have a history with Southampton, so I guess that costs at least £5m.

I wouldn't touch Xhaka with a 10 foot pole. I like players who can stay on the field.

Oh my god....after missing the penalty in the shootout last night and losing to Chile again, Messi announced his retirement from international football. I hope he changes his mind, there's a World Cup in two years. He'll only be 31, that's not too old to go and win his final major tournament. He's the greatest player of all time and he deserves to lift an international trophy. He missed after Vidal's penalty was saved; advantage lost, but no one man wins or loses when there are 10 others who wear the same shirt.

Some people say. Others, not so much. He's a great player sure, but I can't get over the growth hormones barcelona gave him for years to make him bigger.
