Just like with watch tools, if you go cheap, you get minimal results. Always spend a bit more and get something good, IMHO.

I've thought about it as I haven't come across many whole bean coffee that I love. I've found plenty that are fine but nothing excellent.

Nesco or Gene would be the other brands for your consideration, but tough to beat a good Hottop.

Worth the $, but will take a bit of experimenting to dial in the type of roast you prefer, so have patience and pay careful attention to the roasting times.
Try a number of different beans as well until you get what you want, just like buying a watch!
