  1. App review: WatchCheck

I'm a bit obsessed with accuracy in my watches, not necessarily in them being very accurate (I appreciate it when they are, but wouldn't necessarily pay for them to be regulated), but in knowing how accurate they are. I used to use a very basic method of checking and recording accuracy - timing them against my solar atomic G-Shock at the same time each day and then making a note of the deviation in Evernote or Google Keep.
A couple of days ago I thought I'd re-explore the options on the Google ...

  2. Quest for the Grails update

After seeking information from the AD I plan to buy my Breitling from, they've quoted me 15% below msrp and no tax. That changes my numbers somewhat:

Darn, that only gave me 1%! Oh well, better than nothing. Won't be getting any donation money this week due to this cold/whatever. At least the weekly payment went down.

Two years after the start of World War II, work on the Tutima Flieger Chronograph was complete. Developed for the rigours of the new faster, higher flying, combat aircraft it was used by German pilots through ...

  4. Atlanta Pen Show

I've been to it several times. Click here for info.

Not having been to the more "robust" shows in Raleigh or other nearby locations, this one always seemed to be rather smallish to me.

That said, there are always several nibmeisters there. I know Pendleton Brown personally and he does good work. Other well known craftsman will be there, but the website does a poor job of telling you who will be there.

That said, it is only eight bucks and ...

  5. Bukowski: National Poetry Month

Since it’s National Poetry Month (no, I’m not crazy, you mean you didn’t know?) I thought I’d post one of these blog entries about my favorite poet.
