Eaglemoss Military Watches Collection.

The new sovereign state of Czechoslovakia was formed in 1918 at the end of the 1st World War, and came under almost immediate threat of invasion necessitating the creation of a new army.
By 1938 that army had grown to number 1.5 million men, and was well equipped with modern weapons, including locally made tanks.
In the early 1930s watches produced by the swiss company Lemania were supplied to the army, these high quality time pieces lasted well, and some even survived to the end of the 2nd World War.

Tonneau shape 39mm across, 43mm corner to corner, polished finish. 40.3mm across including crown, 50mm lug to lug. 10.8mm deep. 34.2mm interior aperture.
5mm grooved crown, 34mm low domed glass. Case backs embossed with Eaglemoss logo and description of the watch.
Dial
Black 34.1mm dial, white ‘rail track’ minute/seconds scale, Hours indicated with green Arabic numerals.
Sword style polished finish hours and minutes hand and thin straight seconds hand.
Standard EM Epson AL55a movement.
Strap
20mm PU leather strap, narrows to 18mm polished buckle, aprox 180-225mm fitting.




This is the first EM watch to feature a domed glass.
I think this another watch that scores highly as far as being a good replica of the original watch
A period Lemania, compared to other watches of the time it would have seemed relatively large.
