Eaglemoss Military Watches Collection.

The details of the actual watch are a little thin, I have a few clues but they seem to contradict the design of the watch actually supplied
The watch is described as being Used By German Airman in the 1940s; 38mm in diameter; using a 17 jewel Swiss 281 movement; 60 seconds subdial at the 6 position;, 45 (sic) minutes subdial at 3 position; long indices at 3,6 and 9; RLM (Reichsluftfahrtministirium) and serial number engraved on the case-back.




The Universal Geneve watches were 281 movements and had 3 subdials
The German made watches like the Hanhart, Lemania and Tutima from the period had two subdials
It has been pointed out that the watch supplied looks very much like a Benrus Skychief, but I have trouble with that being it is a US manufactured watch.
Any pointers will be greatly appreciated.





Case
Polished 38mm case, 41mm with crown, 10mm deep, 43.8mm Lug to Lug, 20mm lug width.

Interior diameter 33.7mm, 8mm deep, 6mm crown, 32.5mm flat glass,

Chronograph pushers at the usual 2 and 4 positions

Dial

Black dial with white minute scale, with 5th-second increments, numbers each 5 minutes.The hours are indicated with green Arabic numbers 1-12

Polished leaf type, hour and minute hands, with green infill, and a slim polished seconds hand. Sub-dials have polished hands

Chronograph seconds sub-dial at the 6 position, white second indices, in 1-second marks, numbered every 10 seconds.

Chronograph minutes sub-dial at the 9 position, white indices in 2.5 minutes marks, numbered every 15 minutes

24 hour sub-dial at the 3 position, white indices in 2-hour increments, numbered every 4 hours

Date window between 4 and 5

Movement is a Sunon PE90 quartz chronograph, the same as the Special edition 3 America in Space watch.

Strap

Tan PU leather, 20 mm at the lugs, narrows to an 18mm polished buckle, approx. fitting 175/220mm
